Our Programs

 

Therapeutic Foster Care

  • Intensive community-based treatment services on Hawaii, Kauai and Oahu provided in a home setting for youth with emotional and/behavioral challenges;
  • Ages 3-21 yrs. referred by the CAMHD Family Guidance Centers;
  • HBH provides a team driven, 24/7, client -centered approach including professional foster parents, individual therapists, family support therapists and the respective therapeutic foster care coordinators on each island;
  • Training and licensing of prospective therapeutic foster parents are on-going and provided on each island;
  • HBH Therapeutic Foster Care programs are nationally accredited by CARF; and
  • Individuals interested in becoming a therapeutic foster parent should call our program office at 808-935-7949.

Multi-dimensional Treatment Foster Care

  • Intensive family-based services on Hawaii island provided in a foster family setting to a youth with a history or delinquent and/or disruptive behaviors and emotional disturbances;
  • This is an evidence-based treatment intervention with specially trained and supervised therapeutic foster families and support staff;
  • Clients are referred by the Hawaii Family Guidance Center;
  • HBH Therapeutic Foster Care programs are nationally accredited by CARF; and
  • Individuals interested in becoming a therapeutic foster parent should call our program office at 935-7949.


Intensive Services for Students with Autism

  • Professional Intensive Instructional Service Consultation (IISC);
  • Skills Training; and
  • Identified and referred by Hawaii Department of Education under IDEIA.

 

Behavioral Interventions for Students with Behavioral Challenges

  • Individual and group counseling;
  • Parent counseling and training ;
  • School consultation for students with behavioral disorders; and
  • Identified and referred by Hawaii Department of Education under IDEIA.

Early Intervention Services

  • Professional Consultations;
  • Behavioral treatment plans;
  • Training and assistance to families;
  • Skills training; and
  • For infants and toddlers with serious behavior concerns (autism/PDD) under the age of three referred by the Department of Health, Early Intervention Program.
